Meet Joel, a hardworking and dedicated individual who has always had a passion for getting things done. From a young age, Joel was taught the value of hard work and has always taken pride in his ability to complete any task he sets his mind to. He pursued his interest in the outdoors and graduated from Penn State (‘78) with a B.S. in Forestry. Following his last semester, Joel started his own tree care company in York County, Pennsylvania. He called it, American Tree Experts LLC. He began serving the people of York County with an old truck, a small chipper, and a few chainsaws eventually expanding to cover south central Pennsylvania. Managing multiple teams, employees, and the headaches that come with any day-to-day blue collar job. He turned his once small business into a thriving company that people would come to know and respect. 

Fast forward to the year 2020. Joel sold his tree care company, but retained his stump grinding equipment. Instead of retiring he stays busy doing estimates, grinding stumps, and taking small shrubs and trees down for customers. He is always focused on his quality of work which brings back repeat customers time and time again. He is someone who truly enjoys being outside and helping others accomplish their yard and property goals. Despite the challenges, he never gives up and always keeps his eye on the prize. His perseverance and determination to succeed helped him to build a company that stood the test of time and continues to prosper for over 44 years.
